Thomas Felder's Story: The Road to Success

In November 2011, a good friend of mine invited me to a meeting. Immediately, I knew something was being sold, but I didn’t know what it was. I didn’t know if it was water, vitamins, Tupperware, lotions, potions, pills or girdles. Whatever it was, I wanted to get out and go home. As a lawyer for the last 15 years, I had worked a 15-hour day, summer, winter, spring and fall. I worked from dark to dark. I didn’t have any time to waste or mess around at some work from home meeting.
It was already after 7pm, it was late. I was hungry, tired, and moody. I had a long day in court, as a trial lawyer and I needed to get home as soon as possible to complete my routine. I needed to help my kids with their homework, fix some dinner, check on my honey-do list, take a nap then finish my 15-hour work day.
I sat in the back of the room and I crossed my legs, you know the power leg cross. I crossed my arms. I so was so angry and uptight. I’m sure I even crossed my eyes and definitely shut my mind. Nothing going on tonight was going change my mind or my disposition. I just wanted to get out ASAP.
However, I was impressed by the presentation given by the former barber with a high school diploma who was making five figures a month from the comfort of his home. He worked about 2 hours a day and had only been in the business for about 3 years. Prior to this night, my opinion of network marketing was that no one would be successful at this kind of business…I was wrong.
The barber captured my attention and imagination. Here I sat with more degrees than two thermometers and I was never taught the power of residual income, direct sales, network marketing and its ability to create wealth exponentially. I thought to myself, if he can do it, then I can do it. I want this type of lifestyle and I was willing to walk on water or run through fire if this business was legal and ethical.
I have heard the saying that, “once your mind expands, it can never go back to its original position.” I don’t know who said it, but it’s true. My mind was racing a million miles a minute, and I didn’t know whether I should step out in the business so quickly. How do I go from being totally skeptical to being the first person to join the business in a matter of minutes? Before the barber finished presenting, I decided I was all in, this was my one chance to regain my sanity. I was not going to pass up on my window of opportunity (WOO). In less than 6 months in the business, I hit one of the highest position in my company, with no experience, made six figures and was awarded a new car. I am also matching my full time income as an attorney while working 2 hours a day. I decided to immediately shut down my law office of 15 years and show others how they too can make a six figure income working 2 hours a day from the comfort of home.
